Tawny owl on its favourite perch.
Arctic terns on the Farne Islands.
We watched this kestrel hunting for ages before I mananged to get this shot, at Gronant Dunes, a SSSI on the North Wales coast.
Red kite wheeling on the thermals in Wales
A great tit on a silver birch, which we baited with lard.
Mass take-off of oystercatchers and cormorants at Talacre in North Wales.
When this cheeky stoat saw me taking his pic at Gronant, he stopped and watched me for several seconds, before going on his way.
Very young foal with mare at Appleby Horse Fair in Yorkshire.
Two great tits in flight, one going and one about to land on a tree stump.
Puffins on Staple Island on the Farnes.
Wood ducks mating - as they mate in the water, the male duck grabs the female's head, so that she doesn't drown (or get away)!
Common blue butterfly
Puffin with a good beakful of sand eels for its growing chick, also on the Farnes.
Soldier beetles mating on cow parsley. Also taken on Granant dunes, an SSSI and part of a long dune system along the north Wales coast.
A turnstone on the beach at Talacre, so well camouflaged you don't usually see them until they move and by then it's usually too late.
Shag standing guard over its chick on a large nest on Inner Farne.
